“It was a fall day in 2001 when I looked in the mirror and said, “What the hell are you doing here? You don’t want to wear that suit.” 9/11 had made me question where my path was leading to, seeing how life can change in an instant. I knew I had a calling; to do something I felt was meaningful, and working as a spoke in a large company wheel was not it. I wanted…needed to start over. I had always wanted to impact lives, as my father did through his counseling, which I admired so deeply.
Today, my son Mike also teaches at Drome Sound. I know he has the ability to take it beyond my wildest dreams. I am passionate about what I do and it kills me to think there is one person out there that will miss a life-changing opportunity simply because they may never come to know what we offer. But… what I can do is continue to make the difference for those we do meet. For that I am thankful”.
