Independence Day, “the Fourth of July”.  It is the anniversary of the publication of the declaration of independence from Great Britain in 1776. Patriotic displays, parades, and family celebrations are organized throughout the United States.  Many people display our American flag in our yards, windows, barns, and even painted on the sides of our homes.  The celebration has deep roots in our American tradition of political freedom, our freedom.  So many incredible postings and pictures already on Facebook.  I did not know where to begin.  Obviously our fight for freedom is deep in my heart, thus my book, Dedications, Dads and Daughters.  As we celebrate our Independence Day, please keep in mind all of the Unforgettable Faces and Stories of the people who fought for our freedoms.  We owe them everything…..remember ……the red, white, and blue today……”Old Glory”….Red Skelton said it best on his Pledge of Allegiance, and Lee Greenwood in his tribute “God Bless The USA”…HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!
