Memorializing your Dad is something no little girl is ever prepared to do, but like others who serve selflessly, my Dad deserves it. I hope this lump in my throat does not obstruct his story or my words.
Dad took interest in being on the local Colebrook, New Hampshire Fire Department at 18 years old, but patiently wailed uphill at age 23 in 1960 to be given a spot in the department. He served Colebrook Fire Department and held about every position and then retired as Chief in 1998.
RIP Dad – you are missed every second of every hour of every day.
